My interest in dance began in my early childhood, with Chinese classical dance, followed by an exploration of the rhythm and beats of tap dance. However, it wasn't until I discovered my passion for Flamenco and Latin dance that dance truly became my language for communicating with the world. By watching dance performances, understanding the emotional depth they conveyed, and immersing myself in the interplay of music and movement, I gradually realized that dance could be a medium through which I could express and connect with others.

Dance has not only enriched my artistic experiences, but it has also helped greatly with my academic development in various ways. It requires a finely tuned awareness of rhythm, movement, and emotion, and this attention to detail has largely benefited my academic work. I've learned to break down complex topics into segments and grasp their interconnectedness, much as I would when examining intricate choreography. Dance has also boosted my imagination, allowing me to break free from conventional thinking and approach diverse cultures and backgrounds in a more inclusive manner. This multidisciplinary method of thinking has broadened my worldview and supported my quest for a global perspective and cultural inclusion in sociology and other social science.
